Individual Therapy Intensives
Private Pay | Limited Availability
Individual therapy intensives are a structured, extended format designed to support deeper, more focused therapeutic work than a standard weekly session. This option may be helpful for individuals who want dedicated time to explore a specific issue, pattern, or transition in a more intentional and contained way.
I currently offer individual therapy intensives on a limited basis.
What Is an Individual Therapy Intensive?
An individual therapy intensive is a short-term, structured series of longer sessions that allows us to slow down and stay with a therapeutic focus over a brief period of time.
Rather than replacing ongoing therapy, intensives are best understood as a focused container. This format allows space for preparation, meaningful therapeutic work, and integration — without the stop-and-start rhythm of week-to-week sessions.
Some people choose an intensive because they want:
Dedicated time to focus on a specific issue or pattern
Support during a transition or decision point
Space to explore something that feels difficult to access in shorter sessions
A more immersive therapeutic experience, while still pacing the work thoughtfully
How Intensives Are Structured
Therapy intensives are intentionally paced and trauma-informed. Each intensive series may include:
Grounding and preparation
Focused therapeutic work using an integrative, trauma-informed approach
(EMDR may be incorporated when clinically appropriate, but is not guaranteed or required)Breaks as needed
Integration, reflection, and aftercare planning
My priority is not speed or intensity — it’s safety, containment, and meaningful progress.

Who an Intensive May Be a Good Fit For
An individual therapy intensive may be helpful if you:
Have a specific issue, pattern, or theme you want to explore more deeply
Feel emotionally regulated enough to engage in longer sessions
Have the capacity to rest and integrate between sessions
Are seeking focused therapeutic support without committing to ongoing weekly therapy
Important Considerations
Therapy intensives are not appropriate for everyone.
To ensure ethical and effective care:
All intensives require a consultation to assess readiness and clinical fit
Not all inquiries will result in an intensive being scheduled
Emotional stability and coping capacity are important factors
Follow-up or ongoing therapy may be recommended
My role is to determine whether this format is clinically appropriate — not simply whether it is requested.
Research & Clinical Foundations
Clinical literature supports the use of focused and time-limited psychotherapy formats when treatment structure and intensity are matched to client needs. EMDR is an evidence-based modality for trauma-related symptoms and may be incorporated into intensive work when clinically appropriate.

A Gentle Note
This offering is designed to support depth and intention — not urgency. If you are currently in crisis or need immediate support, a different level of care may be more appropriate.
