๐ Take What Serves You: A November Reflection on Rest and Tradition
Happy Fall!
November often invites us to slow down โ to rest, reflect, and choose what truly serves us.
After returning from a short but soul-filling trip to Japan, Iโve been reflecting on what it means to be intentional in the quieter months ahead.
๐ Not Another Therapist turns 2 this month! ๐
Two years in, and I still canโt believe how much this space has grown! Itโs been wild, heart-filling, and deeply meaningfulโand Iโm endlessly grateful to everyone whoโs been part of it.
๐ฟ Redefining Tradition
As the holidays approach, itโs easy to get swept up in expectations โ rushing, performing, or stretching ourselves thin in the name of โtradition.โ But what if this year looked different?
What if ease, community, and joy were the priorities?
What if you chose to honor what feels authentic and gently released the rest?
โจ Cosmic Inspiration
Earlier this month, I tuned into a live Insight Timer talk by my colleague Liza Colpa called Cosmic Compass: November Astrology Forecast.
Liza described November as a time of retrogrades and revelations โ a moment to pause, reflect, and renew before stepping forward again.
One of her prompts that really resonated with me was:
โWhat does home mean to me now โ physically, emotionally, spiritually?โ
That line reminded me how healing it can be to redefine โhomeโ as something we carry within โ not a place, but a practice of returning to ourselves.
๐ช Journal Prompts: Take What Serves You
As you move through this season, consider what truly serves you โ what feels grounding, easeful, and aligned with your values.
๐ฏ๏ธ How can I create my own version of embodied home throughout the holidays?
๐ฟ What does tradition mean to me โ and what parts of it are truly mine to keep?
๐ซ How can I design rituals that honor my peace, joy, and community?
Pour yourself a cup of tea, grab a journal, and see what comes through.
If youโd like a journaling soundtrack, I made a playlist to accompany your reflections
๐งCheck it out below!
Hereโs to slowing down, taking what serves you, and leaving the rest.
Whether that means changing old traditions, doing less this year, or just letting things be simpler โ I hope you create space for what actually feels like peace.
Thank you for being here, and for helping make year two of Not Another Therapist so special. ๐
